Jabba's Comments

Leeds beat off a host of clubs to sign Jimmy Dunn from Scottish junior football after World War 2, and he was to be a fixture in Leeds sides for more than 10 years. He only scored one goal in his time at Leeds - against Blackburn in 1950 - but he was widely respected for his defensive abilities and thought unlucky not to win a Scottish cap. He moved on to Darlington but lasted less than a season there before a knee injury ended his playing career.

Anon says: I know the son of jimmy dunn. jimmy goes to the masons at hadfield.

John Raynard says: Jimmy Dunn lives in the same street as myself and being too young to see him play but having read much about him I occasionally speaking to him I can say he is a very modest man and true gentleman.

V McDermott says: Hi Jimmy Dunn is my dads uncle .He is a great laugh and still goes to every game as well as owning a celtic season ticket and still comes home to see us all his number 1 fans

shobson says: Jimmy Dunn is my Grandad. I liked to say that according to many people he was the finest right back ever to play for LUFC. He is a top class individual and i'm sure he could still show gary kelly and dan mills a few tricks or too. Happy Birthday Grandad

hobbo says: Jimmy Dunn is a true legend of leeds united,he still still goes to the games and still lives opposite elland road,443 games, should have been capped by scotland, there loss, top guy and best grandad in the world.

Marge Vallazza says: Jimmy Dunn was my grandfather, Cornelius (aka Neely's) brother. I'd be interested in contacting him to let him know about the North American side of his family.

Shaun Hobson says: to marge vallazza..hope you get this..my mum is janice dunn, jimmy's daughter. our side wants to contact yourselve's..jimmy lives on the same street. it would be great if you could email me, i am shaun hobson janice's son. please try and email me and we will take from there.
