Jabba's Comments

A Maltese left-back with a South Yorkshire background, Dylan Kerr joined Leeds from Arcadia Shepherds of South Africa. He didn't have the class necessary to make it at the very highest level, but he was pretty solid when he appeared, with Wilko using him occasionally during the promotion campaign and then in 1993 towards the end of the season as injuries piled up and the chance of winning anything had gone out of the window. He's played for a variety of clubs since - including a decent spell at Kilmarnock.

He played a single game for league new boys Kidderminster in September 2000 before being released from his contract. He went on to play in non-league football before being picked up by Hamilton and playing a crucial role - and scoring 3 important goals - as they won promotion from Division 2 in Scotland.

2001 saw him make a brief return to England with Exeter City, but he moved on shortly after Noel Blake parted company with the club and moved back to Scotland with Greenock Morton, occupying the left back slot for most of the remainder of the season. He played a game with East Stirlingshire as a trialist in January 2003 - scoring two pretty decent goals in the process.

He's now back with the Accies at the back end of the 2002/03 season.

Bunny Girl says: Yeah, I know Dylan and he is a top bloke. Down to earth in every way and currently playing for Greenock Morton. What a waste, he deserves better, so someone sign him up!

Gavin Finlay says: I actually met Dylan kerr in a pub in Troon near Kilmarnock called Mackays. It was around about the time that England beat Scotland to qualify for Euro 2000. He even bought me a drink for my 21st birthday and he also give me his autograph. Coincidentally he also now lives in a house that used to belong to one of my mum's ex work colleagues. PS he is a very nice guy - does anyone know who he played against for leeds as I would love to know. I also met him while a steward at Kilmarnock Football Club.

Tim Drakae aka noddy says: I have slept with Dylan on various occasions. He is one of my best friends ask him what happend on my stag do in Blackpool. He played against blackburn marking Stuart Ripley out of the game.

Anon says: Dylan sitting right next to me and what's a decent club! He's wasted so hurry up and sign him.

Gilbert Nowat says: I had a chat with Dylan last night (15 January 2003) at the Hamilton V East Fife cup tie. He says he's retired now, although he mentioned something about East Stirling. He was in good spirits.

Kevin Watson says: I am an East Stirling fan and saw Dylan play brilliantly for us yesterday, scoring 2 cracking goals. However the rumours are that he is retired now, Saturday being his last ever game. It would be a real shame because on the evidence of yesterday he could do a great job for someone (hopefully the might Shire). If anyone knows whether he will or will not retire then please let me know.

DebZ 'EHG2' Nagle says: I'm a Kilmarnock Supporter and I have met Dylan a couple of times in my local pub. He's mad and lovable, tried strangling me once but gave me a kiss the second time I met him!!! I was even singing Suspicious minds with him!!!

Brian Jones says: Cannot believe this page exists!! Dylan played a fair bit of this season at Harrogate Town but we believe he has trailed back to Scotland again (January 2003). A sad loss to Harrogate as he did a grand job at left side. Rumour has it that he signed for East Fife now. Anybody confirm that?

Gilbert Mowat says: He will play a trial for Hamilton on Saturday 1 february against league leaders Raith Rovers.

Gilbert Mowat says: Dylan has now signed a contract with Hamilton Accies until the end of the 2002/3 season.

stevie g says: Now signed for Hamilton Accies again 08/02/03 Top Bloke whos girlfriend is rather nice

Muzza says: Now a DJ in Pebbles Troon and rather crap good footballer though

Anon says: I am a Killie fan, Dylan was a great player of us, i was sad to see im leave. I thought he deserved a new contarct, i remember his goal against Ayr utd, in the Ayrshire cup he celebrated by jumping into the fourth row of the stand (then got yellow carded!) He's got streaked hair but we dont care, Dylan, Dylan Kerr is a song we used to sing. I see im driving his Golf around Troon area.

ian harber says: I went to school with Dillan, although he is a year younger than me.I did not know him at school that much but i became good friends with him after he joined Leeds United.(I am a photographer for a Leeds newspaper)one friday night when i was out on the piss with him he told me what wilko had had them doing in training, and it was all about a center back who was going to head one in at the far post,i had a 10 on Wetherall to score the first goal, Wetherall scorred the only goal of the game and i won 330 quid. He had a well tasty girlfriend who worked in a bank in mexborough south yorkshire. Although he was born in malta he was brought up in a small south yorkshire village called Mexborough, it is between Rotherham and Doncaster.

Peter says: I've had to throw Dylan out of my club a few times for horassing my dancers but he is a top bloke he is welcome in here any time.

Don says: Dylan is currently living in Phoenix, AZ. USA and is coaching my son. Nice to hear so many good things about him.

Scott Johnson says: Dylan is doing a fabulous job coaching and training a number of youth for the West Valley United Soccer Club in Glendale (Phoenix) Arizona. Everybody seems to admire his ability and enthusiasm for the game.

Tim Drake says: Dylan where are you now? Patch says your back home so i`ll call round to your mums. Are we out this xmas and new year? Its been a couple of years since we did it! Oh and went out!

Kirk Geiger says: Dylan Kerr is coaching my 90 Alliance team in Phoenix,AZ. He's gone back to Scotland though for the holidays. Hopefully though when he gets back we can continue our training and get back into it. He has lead our team to many victories. Out of our season games so far, I think our current record is like 7 - 1. So, he's helped us out quite a bit. We started out in division 1 and got moved into the Elite League. He's done our team some good. I hope when he comes back from Scotland he's all in one piece!

soccer mom in phoenix says: when the @#@+ are you coming home!!!

clarky says: fancies himself as a bit of a DJ. the one night i saw him doing it his decks broke down for 10 minutes bang in the middle of his gig. top guy, great coach.

Eddie Webb says: How the hell are there so many comments about a player who got a game at Leeds because he was Howard Wilkinson's baby sitter! Always a tryer but dreadful, bloody dreadful.

tim drake says: all i can say eddie is: it is better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all. what i`m saying is atleast he played in the first team more than 99% of wanabies can say.

Anon says: I knew Dylan when he lived in Doncaster he went out with a well fit bird called Nicola and he played for Leeds United at the time.

Greg says: Dylan did a fantastic job coaching the U18 boys West Valley club this season. This club never won anything before Dylan arrived and they managed to win three tournaments this year with one of them being in California.

Nicola Gretton says: my name is nicola and i was his girlfriend for a long time, i havent seen him for ages i hope he is doing well, good luck.

tim drake says: dylan cant believe nicky is on this site! are you paying them to write in? ha ha lokk dyl ring me or email me if you read this i still want to come over. timdrake101 _at_ aol.com

Rick Ferguson says: I Played with Dylan in South Africa for Arcadia Shepards, he played on the lhs side either at full back or midfield. All the boys used to take the piss out of him, cos of his high pitched voice. When ever I travelled over to the UK, I used to stay at his house and watch him play at leeds or reading. Dyl is a brilliant bloke, and he has got some great stories about Vinnie Jones, Strachan, Wallace, Chapman, Cantona etc. Dyl, if you read this, send your old mate Fergy an email, I am in Sydney Oz now

S Sherwood says: Dylan Kerr and I were team mates in a soccer league in Arizona. He is one of the most amazing players I have seen. I have never seen anyone take the ball from him, nor have I ever seen someone be able to keep the ball from him

Anon says: If it's the same Dylan Kerr, I believe he lives in USA, in Arizona , works for the ODP program.
