| Jabba's Comments |
Irwin made his debut for Leeds at the age of 18 having come through
the youth and reserve teams. Eddie Gray developed the young right back
into a solid player over the next 2 years, but under Billy Bremner he
was released and joined Oldham. At Oldham he really began to improve,
and after 4 years there he was snapped up by Manchester United. The
rest, as they say, is history: he's been an almost constant presence
in the all-conquering Man U side of the 90s and has picked up
countless medals and established a European appearance record of 70
games for the Old Trafford club. If only he'd stayed....
At the age of 36 and with younger and fitter players at the club,
there wasn't much chance of him playing much more for Man U, so he's
taken his experience to Wolves for a final season or two to see if his
experience at the back will be enough to finally take the Molineux
side back into the top flight.

libellous) I'll add them to this page. And just a quick note to the spammers
who try to add their links to this page by attempting to get round the client-side
validation: don't bother - the server side does similar checks and throws your
garbage straight into the bit bucket.
