| Jabba's Comments |
An old-fashioned centre-half, brother of Mick Kelly (who also played
just 4 games for Leeds), he found he could not get a place in the side
ahead of Tom Holley, Jock McDougall and Bob Kane. He moved to Newcastle
but the intervention of war ended his league career.
Reiad Chibah says: Was there not a brief spell with Selsdon
Wanderers before he turned pro? Jabba says: not sure - the Complete
Record says that we signed him from Sandbach Ramblers in September
1935 - when he'd have been just 18 - but doesn't say where he was
prior to that.

Have your say
Did you see Dominic Kelly play? Did you meet him in a pub, go to
school with him, decorate his house or buy a motor from him? If
you've got any comments or stories about Dominic Kelly on or off the
pitch, just fill in the form below and (provided they're not blatantly
libellous) I'll add them to this page. And just a quick note to the spammers
who try to add their links to this page by attempting to get round the client-side
validation: don't bother - the server side does similar checks and throws your
garbage straight into the bit bucket.
