YTS boy who graduated to the first team but only made two
appearances. Released by Howard Wilkinson in 1989, he had a brief
spell in Scandinavia on trial, but couldn't manage to make much of an
impression there or on his return to England.
Ian Colwell says: Currently plying his trade with Highland League
outfit Forres Mechanics. The legs have gone and can now be found
sweeping. Or more to the point on the bench! Recently appeared against
Dundee United in the 3rd Round of the Scottish Cup.
Peter Maguire says: the dates are wrong they should be finished
playing for Huddersfield in 1991. Jabba says: oops - I'll correct
the stats real soon....
Andy Barnes says: I could tell you about the time we went on a lads
holiday & Maggy jumped onto a podium in a club, wearing only his
shorts, pulling them up his arse (chippendale style), forgeting all
about his seriously bad s***s. But I won't. He's a top bloke & I
hope I see him again soon.
Ian Colwell says: Now at Lossiemouth in the Highland League, still
sweeping I believe. Mind you, it wont be long before he's playing

Peter Maguire says: hi jabba how's it goin'. I had a fantastic time
while i was at Leeds especially during my apprentice days with the
likes of David Batty and Gary Speed and many others that really didn't
make it like myself. Its good to hear from Barnsy, who is an old
school friend and was best man at my wedding in 97 and who i've not
seen for a couple of years. Also Nobby (Ian Calwell) and Brian, by the
way Brian you still owe me £50 quid ye bald bas***d, good luck
with the wee one on the way. Any way Jabba i'm off, i've left my
email address so if any one out there still thinks i'm a hero or who
knows me get in touch especially any of the 'Leeds Lads', they know
who they are
