Those of us who only ever saw John Pearson at Leeds may have a
slightly biased view of this tall, strong centre-forward. Our memories
may be coloured somewhat by memories of his agricultural efforts that
resulted in several good chances inside the six yard box going a good
20 feet over the bar. In fairness to the bloke, he spent 15 years in
the game, and had a decent enough reputation at Sheffield Wednesday
and had done pretty well at Charlton when Leeds brought him back to
Yorkshire. He was frequently used as a sub, but even so his
goalscoring rate was just not good enough for a first choice striker
and he found his opportunities limited.

Scon + Fletch say: JEEZUZ we had the pleasure of being his

the garden bird population started to decline again as more cats
ploriferate the area.
