| Jabba's Comments |
After being rejected by Villa and having a short spell with
Carlisle, David Robinson must have been hoping for a better time at
Leeds, but he only played 5 games for the club. His move to Southend
finally saw things go right for him: with over 300 games for United,
he became a firm favorite with the fans, and stayed on as groundsman
at Roots Hall when he retired.
Robbo (Pete) says: As this man's grandson and living in Southend, I
can vouch for this. Regrettably he died in 1986 aged 86. The family
are very proud of 'Robbo' and have various memorabilia from his time
as a Pro. He joined SUFC from Leeds in 1928 and played 317 games
until forced to hang up his boots due to injury in 1940. His sister
is still very much alive and living in Carlisle.

who try to add their links to this page by attempting to get round the client-side

garbage straight into the bit bucket.
