Leeds beat off a host of clubs to sign Jimmy Dunn from Scottish
junior football after World War 2, and he was to be a fixture in Leeds
sides for more than 10 years. He only scored one goal in his time at
Leeds - against Blackburn in 1950 - but he was widely respected for
his defensive abilities and thought unlucky not to win a Scottish
cap. He moved on to Darlington but lasted less than a season there
before a knee injury ended his playing career.
