| Jabba's Comments |
He turned professional in 1951, but National Service intervened,
and he didn't make his debut until 1955. Spent the first part of his
career at Leeds primarily covering for Grenville Hair, before taking
over Jimmy Dunn's right-back slot when Dunn was forced to retire
through injury. He moved on to non-league Weymouth in 1961.
Paul Hooper says: I recently (1995/6) spent a year working with Jim
in a gloucestershire garden centre ,I found him to be a modest gent
with a great sense of humour . he can still be found on most
wednesdays in the Safeway store in Hatherley near Cheltenham and
resides in nearby Churchdown village Gloucestershire.A genuine nice
bloke.

libellous) I'll add them to this page. And just a quick note to the spammers
who try to add their links to this page by attempting to get round the client-side
validation: don't bother - the server side does similar checks and throws your
garbage straight into the bit bucket.
