Jim McCabe played for Middlesborough either side of World War 2 and
joined Leeds in 1948 with £10,000 and John Hodgson going up the
road to Ayresome Park in exchange. A quality wing-half, he was
deservedly awarded six Northern Ireland caps in the home
internationals while he was at Leeds. He died in 1989.
