|England: ? Youth
England Schoolboy player who did well in the reserves but never
really made the breakthrough into the first team. Went out to the
USA and played for the NY Rangers in the mid-1960s, but returned to
England in 1969. He returned to the north and played non-league
football after quitting the professional game.
Ste says: 3 words - 'never good enough' - hope he does well in
the North East though - the lower divisions may suit him.
Have your say
Did you see Barrie Wright play? Did you meet him in a pub, go to
school with him, decorate his house or buy a motor from him? If
you've got any comments or stories about Barrie Wright on or off
the pitch, just fill in the form below and (provided they're not
blatantly libellous) I'll add them to this page. And just a quick
note to the spammers who try to add their links to this page by
attempting to get round the client-side validation: don't bother -
the server side does similar checks and throws your garbage
straight into the bit bucket.
