| Jabba's Comments |
Ken Chisholm spent a season with Leeds just after the war, and
moved with Leeds heading downhill, took a step up that resulted in him
appearing - on the losing side - at Wembley in the 1949 FA Cup
Final. He also played in the USA for the LA Kickers. Unfortunately, he
is probably best known for being involved in the scandal surrounding
illegal payments to players at Sunderland in the 1950s. After
initially refusing to answer questions, he finally admitted receiving
illegal payments and was duly punished.
Wes Chisholm says: I am kens son and would like to correct a couple
of things. His position was inside left, and he got capped once for
Scotland. My dad wrote a book which was never published and he talks
about a lot of backhanders and match fixing that went on in those days.
Jabba says: according to my records, he received a "Scottish Victory"
cap in 1945 - but that's not classed as a full international cap and
he is not listed in Rothmans as receiving any Scottish representative
honours.

who try to add their links to this page by attempting to get round the client-side

garbage straight into the bit bucket.
