A strong young forward who did well in the youth team but never
really made the breakthrough to the first team, not helped by a
serious cruciate ligament injury and his involvement - as an
acquitted defendant - in the Bowyer/Woodgate assault trial.
Hackworth made his first team debut as a substitute in the 0-4
defeat by Barcelona at the Nou Camp. After just two more
appearances in 2000-01 (against Tranmere and Lazio) he signed for
Notts County in July 2001. He spent most of the first season coming
off the subs bench but it's hoped he'll go forward as he gets used
to life in Division 2.
In his first season at Notts County he appeared in most of the
league games - although usually from the bench - and was on the
fringes of the side in 2002/03.

the fa youth cup final where without his goals leeds would never

hackworth is 1 of the worst signins we have ever made he has been
dreadful so far in his career at notts, however saw him play this
sat at bristol and for once in the 2 years we have had him he is
