The Next Big Thing in keepers when we signed him as a youngster
from Reading in 2000, Shaun has never quite made it into the reckoning
at Leeds with first Nigel Martyn, Paul Robinson and Danny Milosevic to
contend with, and now Scott Carson coming through meaning he's not
even had a regular stint in the reserves. A couple of loan spells with
Grimsby and Walsall saw him get no further than the bench, and he was
released when his contract expired in summer 2004. He had a trial spell
at QPR but could not win a contract there, and signed on a week-by-week
basis with Slough Town in November 2004.
