Pacy winger who was a regular in the Leeds side in the late
1950s. Jack Taylor let him leave the club in 1960, and he went from
strength to strength, winning his only England cap in 1963 while at
Wolves. He had a spell playing down under, before retiring from the
game to run a pub in Leeds. He briefly came out of retirement to play
for non-league Bath City in 1971. Chris died in 2003.

Brian Macnamara says: If this is the Chris Crowe that I'm thinking
about did he not go to school in Edinburgh? I remember him when I was
at St. John's primary in Portobello.
Anon says: I remember seeing Chris Crowe play for Nottingham
Forest. He was transfer listed by them and responded by scoring a
hattrick in his next game. But the manager still kept him on the
list.
