| Jabba's Comments |
Bill Poyntz was signed from Welsh junior football in 1921, and was
halfway into his first season with the club when he became the first
Leeds player to be dismissed in a league game - taking an early bath
against Bury. The following week he became the 4th Leeds player to
score a hat-trick - Leicester being the victims there. In 1922-23,
Percy Whipp became the first choice inside forward, and Poyntz moved
on to Doncaster. After his playing career ended, he was briefly in a
coaching job with Newport County.

garbage straight into the bit bucket.
