The Times, Sunday Times and Telegraph now seem to
require registration to view articles on their sites, with the Times
and Sunday Times charging readers outside the UK. The Times/Sunday
Times has also moved some of the older articles into an archive which
requires separate registration and requires you to pay to access the
content. The Independent now charges for access to articles more than
a week old.
Carl Robinson's goal midway through the second half earned
Sunderland a fourth consecutive league win, which lifted them to
fourth place in the Championship.
It was Leeds's first defeat and only the second goal they have
conceded at Elland Road this season but there was little evidence to
support claims that they will be among the challengers for
promotion.
Brett Ormerod wasted their best chance when he marked his debut by
bypassing the designated penalty-taker Jermaine Wright and missing a
late spot-kick.
